DAN LACK
Vice-Chair
Dan Lack is a lifelong Democrat who has been involved in politics since he answered the phone in a field office for Michael Dukakis when he ran for President in 1988. After retiring and moving to Florida from New York in 2011, Dan formed the On Top of the World Democratic Club one year later. He led the club as its President and he was a voting member of the Marion County DEC until 2023.
Dan’s term as DEC Vice Chair began in January 2025. In his spare time, Dan tutors math. His writing skills are also on display with his frequent letters to the editor about political issues. The English philosopher John Stuart Mill said in 1867, “Bad men need nothing more… than that good men should look on and do nothing.” Dan is trying to do something.
