DEC COMMITTEES
The Democratic Party Committee works to strengthen our local Democratic presence by organizing volunteers, informing voters, and supporting candidates at every level. Through regular meetings, community outreach, and coordinated efforts across precincts, the committee helps ensure voters stay engaged, issues are communicated clearly, and turnout remains strong. It’s a collaborative team dedicated to expanding Democratic values and building a more active, informed, and effective local party.
COORDINATED CAMPAIGN
SHEILA J. LOUGHLIN, Precinct Captain Chair (Interim)
The Coordinated Campaign Committee cooperates with the National Democratic Committee (DNC), Florida Democratic Party (FDP), Marion County candidates, precinct captains, and Democratic Clubs to support the election of Democrats through a variety of programs and support functions.
MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS
TAMI JOHNSON, Media Chair
The Media Committee communicates all essential DEC information to the community. This includes maintaining the website, posting on social media, creating the monthly newsletter, designing flyers, and producing all print and digital communications for the DEC.
PROGRAMS
YVETTE MORENO ROBINSON, Program Chair
The Program Committee recruits speakers and organizes programs for the monthly Marion County Democratic Party meetings.
TECHNOLOGY
JIM TOCK, Program Chair
The Technology Committee manages data for the DEC and makes sure all hardware (computers, internet, phones, and other equipment) is properly functioning.
