arbor feliciano for mayor of ocala

Arbor Feliciano

“For an affordable Ocala” is Mr. Feliciano’s emphasis, including a serious concern about our rapidly growing city, which has consistently been at the top of many growth lists. Feliciano is concerned about maintaining Ocala’s culturally significant areas, our natural environment, and our Historic Downtown.

Additionally, according to the US Census Bureau in 2024, an estimated 15% of Ocala was healthcare uninsured, with the number projected to grow in 2025 due to federal spending cuts and our growing population. He hopes to establish three City Health Clinics, much like the amazing Hope Clinics, providing services for the uninsured at low or no cost, to insure the most vulnerable in our community receive the care they need.

He would also like to address our growing housing insecurity and homelessness. By working with established community organizations, such as Interfaith Emergency Services, and Volunteers of America, together we can create consistent annual budgets for these organizations to continue aiding our community.

Arbor Feliciano is very concerned about our City’s agreement with ICE at the cost of Ocala taxpayer dollars, and the strained relations between law enforcement and the public due to the ICE deputizations.

Finally, he proposes to offset any deficit created by public services proposed and to accrue greater funding for our schools, parks, community projects, and other infrastructure by raising property taxes on massive corporations with 1,500 employees or more. This way, our small businesses can continue to thrive while these large enterprises—which do not pay back their fair share into our community—can be held accountable, and our community can continue to thrive. He also advocates for a vacancy tax on empty residential property to discourage rental investment firms from buying into our community with only the intest to price-gouge and make housing even less accessible.
