Identifying Your Candidates
To find out who are the Democratic candidates running in your district:
- Thirty days prior to an election, go to the Supervisor of Elections website.
- Scroll down the home page to the News section. Click Complete Sample Ballot to see all the candidates.
- If you don’t know your district, you can look that up on the same website:
- On the Home page, under the Voters drop-down menu, click Check My Registration Status.
- Fill in your name and date of birth to see a sample ballot for your district, request a mail ballot, check the status of your mailed ballot, and other information.

AUGUST 8th is DEADLINE to Request a Vote-By-Mail Ballot!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 8th, 2024 is the deadline to request a VOTE-BY-MAIL ballot for the Primary Election on August 20th. Remember to put your ballot in the security sleeve before putting it into the return envelope, and then sign and date the back of the envelope. Don't put more than one mail ballot in a return envelope. Return your completed mail ballot ASAP. Your mail ballot MUST BE RECEIVED at the Elections Office by August 20th, so we recommend that you fill it out and mail it immediately upon receipt. REQUEST your vote-by-mail ballot by calling the Elections Office at 352-620-3290, or visit VoteMarion.gov. EARLY VOTING starts on Saturday, August 10th and goes through Saturday, August 17th.
