Tim Walz, Climate Hero

Climate advocates are psyched about Tim Walz.
“Tim Walz had the best climate record of any of the VP contenders and has been unafraid to take on Big Oil,” Jamie Henn, of Fossil Free Media, on X/Twitter. “I am all in for Walz,” Gina McCarthy, former Biden White House national climate advisor and current co-chair of the climate coalition America Is All In, told NPR. “He can’t be bought by the fossil fuel industry.”
“It’s a whole different ball game right now,” O’Hanlon said. “Harris has an opportunity to actually have genuine enthusiasm for her campaign in a way that I don’t think that young people have maybe experienced in our adult life.”
In stark contrast, the Trump campaign is trying to make climate action a bad thing. Young voters aren’t having it. “Walz is obsessed with spreading California’s dangerously liberal agenda far and wide,” said Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, to the New York Times. Maybe Karoline missed the memo about Tim being Governor of Minnesota?
