While you can read the full Harris Proposal for the economy HERE, we thought you’d like a few highlights to share with your friends —

  • Lowering grocery costs with the first-ever federal ban on price gouging on food and groceries. Currently, many states have different levels of price gouging laws, but most require a declared state of emergency before they go into effect.
  • Restoring the Child Tax Credit that provided $3,600 per child for middle and working class families.
  • Cutting taxes to help Americans afford health insurance on the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
  • Capping the cost of insulin at $35, and out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs at $2,000 for everyone.
  • Calling for the construction of 3 million new homes to end the housing shortage in four years, plus providing contractors with a $25,000 tax credit to incentivize them to build.
  • Providing $25,000 in downpayment support for first-time homeowners who qualify.

Currently, Trump is ahead of Harris in polls asking who voters trust more on the economy. But hopefully this economic policy rollout and this week’s DNC convention will flip that switch.
