The 2026 PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT fundraising dinner on April 18th was a fabulous success! We owe a great deal of gratitude to our inspiring speakers, DAVID JOLLY and ANGIE NIXON, who took time from their busy campaigns to travel to Ocala to speak with Marion County Dems. Many thanks to our witty Master of Ceremonies, BRUCE SEAMAN, and the hard-working Fundraiser Co-Chairs, CATHERINE MITCHELL and DAN LACK, and all those on the fundraising committee. Great job!

Are every TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY from 10 am to 1 pm at the Marion Democratic Party Headquarters at 970 SW 6th Ave in Ocala. Bring your tablet or laptop and we'll train you how to phonebank so you can do it at the HQ or from the comfort of your own home.

CAN YOU DONATE A LAPTOP OR TABLET
|
The donated laptops we're using for phone banking are old and slow. We could use your help. Do you have a laptop or tablet not more than 5 years old that you can donate? Please bring it to the HQ when you attend the monthly meeting. We're also open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. We're located at 970 SW 6th Ave in Ocala.

There are no Democratic candidates who have filed for office for Florida House District 20 (north east Marion), District 23 (south west Marion including Dunnellon), District 24 (south central Marion including Marion Oaks), and District 27 (south east Marion including Silver Spring Shores). If you would like to run, or know of someone who would like to run, please contact Chair Diana Williams ASAP at ocaladiana@aol.com. Please also fill out the Candidate Form for the Florida Democratic Party.

SIGN CANDIDATE PETITIONS FOR CONGRESSIONAL AND STATE-WIDE CANDIDATES
The Florida Democratic Party is operating a statewide petition bank to support Democratic candidates during the congressional redistricting special session. This form is for congressional and statewide candidates who would like their petition included in the petition bank, allowing Democrats across Florida to print, sign, and return petitions directly to your campaign. If you would like to print and sign a petition for a candidate, you can view the list of submitted petitions here.

With redistricting, we can sign the petition of any Democratic candidate running for congress, not just the congressional candidate in our districts. We also can sign the petition for candidates running for state-wide office. Please act now. The deadline is May 11th for congressional candidates.

- Note: Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 pm on Election Day to be counted.
